Are eSignatures legal?

Absolutely, PingSign provides a legally binding solution between parties.

The Laws

PingSign complies with all the following laws:

• European EC/1999/93 Directive regarding electronic signatures and transmissions
• U.S. Electronic Signature in Global and National Commerce Act of 2000 (ESIGN)
• Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA)

PingSign Additional Security

At PingSign we take security and data integrity very seriously, we have taken extra measures beyond what the law dictates to ensure confidence in our system.

• All data sent to and from PingSign is transferred using an encrypted channel (256-bit SSL)
• We use `Multi Factor Authentication` - email alone isn't that secure, couple email verification with the clients known mobile/cellular phone we can enhance the verification
• PingSign maintains an audit trail of who and when signed a document
• PingSign provides a `receipt` at the end of every document containing a Public ID, you can verify any document signed through PingSign by uploading the document with this Public ID and PingSign will ensure it has not been tampered with
• Regular backups are taken and shipped off-site to ensure data can be restored in any event
• PingSign uses ISO27001 certified data centres
